It was introduced for the first time during the Startup Thinking Observatory at Politecnico di Milano as a concrete approach to help innovation leaders communicate innovation effectively, generate understanding, build consensus and influence decisions.

The Startup Thinking Observatory is a growth ecosystem that connects innovation leaders, internal change agents, and strategic partners of large companies.
Its mission is to provide tools, methods and an innovation culture, creating connections and shared value among businesses.

cHALLENGE
Innovation within organizations does not fail because it is wrong. It fails when it is not understood, accepted, or supported. The real obstacle is not generating innovative ideas, but making them understood, valued, credible, and memorable.
The challenge was to help partner companies’ innovation leaders communicate innovation effectively, moving beyond purely informational and technical approaches and introducing a communication method capable of generating attention, understanding, memory, and decision-making. For innovation to happen, it must be told. And to be told, it must be designed.
MLC introduced Neuro Presentation Design to help innovation leaders communicate innovation effectively, generating understanding, engagement, and consensus through neuroscience, design, and AI.

SOLUTION
MLC designed a training day that combined inspiration, methodology, and hands-on experimentation.
The goal was to transform the way participants design and use presentations, turning them into cognitive tools capable of enhancing attention, understanding, and decision-making.
Opening Speech: Maurizio introduced the Neuro Presentation Design methodology for the first time, showing how perception, attention, understanding, memory and decision-making depend on how presentations are designed.
Field Application: Through real and comparative examples, participants saw how traditional slides can dilute value, while neuro-designed slides become accelerators of understanding and persuasion.
Experiential Workshop: In the afternoon, participants (both in-person and remote) redesigned slides from their own business contexts, experimenting with heatmaps and visual attention, principles of neuro-communication, cognitive design and Application of Microsoft Copilot as a tool to amplify innovation communication. It wasn’t just a workshop: it was a cognitive design gym.
The insight is simple yet powerful: innovation gains value only when it is understood. And it is understood only if it is communicated well.
Neuro Presentation Design was created to meet this need: designing presentations that activate the cognitive processes necessary for an idea not only to be heard but understood, remembered, and supported.
The process unfolded through:
• Theoretical and neuroscientific speech
• Comparative analysis of real presentations
• Applications of artificial intelligence (Microsoft Copilot)
• Redesign and visual storytelling exercises
• Sharing and final feedback of the work
The result: from listening to active design.

The workshop achieved a satisfaction level above 90%, with feedback highlighting three key trends:
