cLIENT BACKGROUND
NH Hotels, part of Minor Hotels, is a leading international hospitality group known for its strong performance culture and data-driven decision-making. Hotel directors are regularly required to present operational and financial results to top management, often in high-stakes contexts where clarity, credibility and focus are essential to support effective decision-making.
Presentations play a critical role in aligning leadership, validating performance and shaping strategic directions across the organization.
cHALLENGE
Hotel directors were frequently asked to present complex performance data through presentations rich in tables and numbers, often delivered online.
The challenge was not the lack of data, but the lack of narrative control.
Presentations were dense, technically correct, but difficult to guide.
In a context where decisions, credibility and even budget allocations depend on how results are communicated, the risk was clear: ineffective presentations could weaken both decision quality and the perceived value of hotel leadership and their teams.
MLC partnered with NH Hotels to help hotel directors communicate performance data with clarity, confidence and impact. Through a tailored program, directors learned to turn complex datasets into structured data stories using MLC’s methodology and AI.

SOLUTION
MLC designed and delivered a customized training program to help NH hotel directors master data storytelling, improve presentation delivery and leverage Artificial Intelligence as a strategic support for data analysis and preparation.
MLC applied its proprietary Presenting Data Methodology, integrating data storytelling principles, data visualization techniques, presentation delivery and audience attention management, AI Fluency, with a conscious and secure use of Microsoft Copilot and productivity support through the MLC PowerPoint Add-in.
The approach combined method, practice and technology, always adapted to NH’s real presentation formats and decision-making culture.
During the initial assessment, MLC identified a crucial insight: while some NH presentation formats did not strictly follow classic data visualization best practices, they were deeply familiar to top management and therefore effective in that specific context.
Rather than forcing generic best practices, MLC chose to adapt the methodology to NH’s reality, respecting existing formats while enhancing clarity, narrative flow and audience guidance.
This required flexibility, open-mindedness and the ability to go beyond textbook rules to serve the real needs of decision-makers.
The project began with a comprehensive assessment of existing NH presentations, presentation styles and delivery contexts. Based on this analysis, MLC designed and delivered two full-day, highly interactive workshops involving 20–30 hotel directors, ensuring strong engagement at a leadership level.
The sessions focused on hands-on work with real business cases and real data, enabling participants to immediately apply data storytelling and visualization techniques to their own challenges. Special attention was given to presentation delivery in online environments, as well as to the use of AI and Microsoft Copilot to analyze data, synthesize insights and structure clear, data-driven narratives.
To extend the impact beyond the workshops, a follow-up webinar introduced and activated the MLC PowerPoint Add-in, allowing participants to work more efficiently and shift their focus from layout and formatting to preparation, insight and strategic thinking.
RESULTS
After the program, hotel directors reported and demonstrated greater confidence in handling and presenting data, along with stronger control over presentation flow and discussion dynamics.
They showed an improved ability to guide audience attention and anticipate questions, resulting in fewer off-focus questions from top management. Presentations became clearer, more structured and more narrative-driven, while the overall management of online presentations improved significantly.
Directors felt more in control not only of their slides, but of the entire presentation experience.
The initiative involved 20–30 hotel directors across two dedicated workshops, followed by a reinforcement session. All techniques were applied immediately to real NH presentations, ensuring direct business relevance and rapid impact.

CONCLUSION
For NH Hotels, this project equipped hotel directors with practical tools to strengthen their professional credibility and represent their hotel and teams more effectively in front of top management. By improving how data is told, directors gained greater influence on decisions that directly impact their structures and teams.
For MLC, this project is a clear example of how proprietary methodology, real-world adaptation and responsible use of AI can work together to transform data into confident, decision-oriented communication.
