cLIENT BACKGROUND
ISTUD Business School is one of the most prominent independent institutions for executive education in Italy. With a strong reputation for delivering impactful learning experiences, ISTUD collaborates with businesses to build custom training paths for professionals at every level. The organization has developed a digital platform designed to streamline the delivery, tracking and impact assessment of corporate learning programs.
cHALLENGE
The platform was a step forward in making corporate learning more accessible and measurable. However, ISTUD quickly realized that innovation alone was not enough. HR professionals were overwhelmed by similar offers and ISTUD’s sales team, each member highlighting different features, was unable to convey a clear, unified message. The result was confusion in the market and missed opportunities.
The challenge was to bring coherence to the sales pitch and ensure every salesperson was aligned on what to say, how to say it and why it mattered.

In a market already saturated with similar solutions, this lack of alignment was limiting their commercial effectiveness.

SOLUTION
While we could have simply created a presentation and handed it over, that approach wouldn’t have solved the deeper issue: misalignment across the sales team.
Instead, we invited ISTUD into the process. Through a carefully structured mix of learning, collaboration and feedback, we turned their internal variety of perspectives into an advantage, helping them co-create a story they could all own and use with confidence.
We began with a storytelling workshop designed to build foundational skills in persuasive communication and implementation design. This was a deep dive into understanding the audience, framing the problem and crafting narratives that drive action.
Participants learned to use the Lean Presentation Strategy Canvas, identifying the context, challenges, proposed solutions, evidence and a strong call to action. This structured approach gave to salespeople the tools to approach any future sales conversation strategically and confidently.
As we listened to the sales team, a valuable insight emerged. Each representative emphasized different strengths of the platform, some focused on usability, others on data insights, or on scalability.
By involving the full team, we uncovered a broad set of selling points that, when connected together, made the final pitch far more compelling and complete.
The journey began with an interactive workshop led by Maurizio, where ISTUD’s sales team explored the key principles of persuasive storytelling. Once equipped with the necessary tools and frameworks, the team was divided into small groups, each tasked with crafting a version of the sales storyline. Over the following week, these groups worked independently, developing unique narratives designed to position the new platform in a way that would resonate with the buyers.
Then, each group pitched their storyline to an internal jury composed of senior managers and MLC team. The goal wasn’t to compete, but to share, receive feedback and build on each other’s strengths. As MLC, we observed and collected the most effective messaging elements from across the presentations. We then synthesized this input into a final storyline. Once aligned with the client, we moved into visual design, crafting a polished and on-brand presentation that became ISTUD’s go-to sales tool.
RESULTS
The final outcome went far beyond a simple deck. ISTUD walked away with a high-impact, persuasive sales presentation built collaboratively and designed to resonate.
Just as importantly, the sales team gained the confidence and skillset to develop strong messaging in the future. The process itself sparked alignment, buy-in, and a sense of ownership that made the pitch more than just words on slides, but a story everyone believed in.
