MLC supported Glencore, one of the world’s largest multinational companies in the natural resources sector, with a training project designed to improve the communication effectiveness of internal presentations, while fully respecting the company’s branding and internal policies. The result was a highly customized, interactive course with immediate practical application.
cLIENT BACKGROUND
Glencore is a global leader in the field of natural resources and raw materials. With a worldwide presence, it operates across the production and commercialization of metals, minerals, energy, and agricultural products. Its operations span more than 35 countries, positioning it as a major international player.
Glencore is known for its exceptionally high standards in safety, confidentiality and internal compliance. These are core values that ensure operations remain secure and aligned with both local and international regulations.
cHALLENGE
The initial context was defined by a highly rigid brand system that required exclusive use of official brand elements, leaving little room for creative solutions or personal interpretation. Making the challenge even more complex was the company culture in which training was still developing, with employees generally unfamiliar with structured learning pathways.
The challenge was twofold: to strictly adhere to Glencore’s guidelines while also delivering training that was truly engaging and effective.
MLC Consulting partnered with Glencore, a leading multinational in the natural resources sector, to deliver an effective and interactive training program. The project adhered to strict privacy and branding constraints thanks to a fully customized, in-person approach.
The main challenge involved using only brand-approved visual materials and introducing a learning culture in an environment where it was not yet fully established.
The solution involved in-person training sessions featuring exercises based on real corporate materials, deep content customization, and continuous internal promotion of the course.
The project led to strong participant engagement, immediate application of learning in daily work, and highly positive feedback from both the HR team and participants.

SOLUTION
The answer to this challenge has been a fully tailored training program. Delivered entirely in person, the course made exclusive use of interactive materials adapted to the company’s official templates, providing continuous support both for internal communication and the onboarding process for participants.
The project began with an in-depth analysis of the company’s visual and communication guidelines. From this foundation, MLC designed a training program centered on the actual needs of the participants, maintaining full alignment with the brand identity.
Each module was built around real company content, transformed into hands-on exercises and moments of active discussion in the classroom. The entire program was designed to foster engagement and promote experiential learning, using group dynamics and real-time feedback.
In parallel, MLC supported the HR team in internal communications and course promotion, helping elevate the initiative within the organization.
The key was customization. Creating a course that spoke the language of the company, followed its rules, and still managed to resonate with those experiencing it.
When content reflects everyday work realities, participation becomes natural, and learning quickly leads to real change.
The project began with a thorough review of Glencore’s materials and templates, followed by a co-design phase to develop the training content.
Training sessions were held in person and were designed to be dynamic and engaging. At the same time, a dedicated communication support effort was activated to ensure strong internal participation.
Particular attention was given to privacy management, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.
RESULTS
The program had an immediate impact: participants were able to apply what they learned right away, and engagement levels were high.
Strict adherence to the brand identity also helped strengthen the value of the brand within the training context.
Feedback received from both participants and the HR team was extremely positive, confirming the success of the initiative.

CONCLUSION
The project demonstrated that even in environments with strict limitations, training can be transformed into a strategic tool. When learning speaks the company’s language and adapts to the participants’ context, it not only conveys skills—it creates lasting value.
MLC turned constraints into strengths, proving that learning design can be strategic—especially when it works “within the rules.”
